Where do you Find stuff to blog about?

I was wondering where people find information to write about on their blogs. I find the best place to find information is on other blogs but theres not much point in blogging about something if your not the first.

Stuff I see, newspaper articles if I've some opinion to add, youtube, sometimes other blogs ... even stuff I've dreamed about.

I find forums are also great places to find post ideas. People ask questions on forums and you can answer the questions on your blog.

overheard conversations about current events. you'll know people will read about them since they're talking about it.

it helps if you find something you really like. A news blog would probably be easy because there is always something new to blog about

I write about whatever calls me. I don't look for topics, I trip over them.

My blog is about managing a household, and this gives me plenty of topic ideas, for instance today I wrote a blog post on making your own dog food, yesterday it was my introduction post and double handling. Later tonight I might do another one on ingredients it's good to be stocked up on. I have other ideas on everything from cleaning to party planning and I might even do some product reviewing at some point :0)
I think finding a diverse topic you can be passionate about is a great start, especially since your everyday life will give you ideas on what to post :0)

I usually blog about poetry that I write, and life situations that everyone especially my age group (16) live. However I occasionally will go off topic, but it happens, fine your inspriation whereever you see fit!

The first and most important is the thought in your own mind. Which you may express in writing on blog. Another sources are newspaper news, articles, magazine, article directories etc.

Magazines are a great source of inspiration. I find jotting things down that I notice from little day to day things can be helpful too!

I often get inspired by something I read in a book. For example, I'm reading this vampire book (go ahead, make fun) and in it a character quotes Ralph Waldo Emerson "Our strength grows out of our weakness. The indignation which arms itself with secret forces does not awaken until we are picked and stung and sorely assailed. A great man is always willing to be little." Is that not AWESOME? I could write pages about that, in fact it in a way it defines what I write about often. Being little, one single human screaming out into the darkness of the internet. Just on tiny, insignificant, frustrated human. Go Ralph.

You need not go anywhere. Your mind, points and thoughts coming in your mind, your nagging questions, your observations, your opinions all are fit to become a thread on any forums.
