Default Rising to the top page of Google?

I know it is very difficult to get our website in the top page of Google especially with popular keywords.

Many webmasters said to increase one's chance of getting his website or blog to be featured in the first page of Google, one must post one's site URL in forum signature links, comment in other blogs, exchange links with other site owners, submit one site to directory, write a related article to the niche of one's site and submit it to the free article submission sites, join social bookmarking sites and getting quality backlinks.

Since these methods are so common and almost every webmasters know it, will it still work if all of them do it?

The algorithms Google use to determine page ranking and search engine ranking change once people start to exploit the systems. Not so long ago link spamming was really popular as an SEO tactic. Now Google penalize those sites. Then article marketing was the big thing. Then signature links.

Things will change again.

Since things change so often once Google catches on and starts penalizing, perhaps the best bet is to just make sure that the website or blog is kept very up to date and go around and do some promoting in related forums, blog communities, and chatrooms?

Personally, I've seen my LJ raise to Google's first page rather quickly after I joined numerous related LJ communities and simply spent time chatting, giving advice, and referencing people to my blog when I thought it would be helpful. It dropped off only after I disappeared for the summer.

I don't see Google actually penalising those sites with a lot of links, because you cannot control who posts your link on their site. However they will ignore those links now, especially if they appear very quickly.

Content will still always be king (or queen for that matter). I see tons of sites that never change anything as they are in good spots now and worried if they even fix a typo its going to throw the entire site off balance.

Posting your links all over will not work. Truthfully, I usually ignore links in forums and on articles because I know what they lead to. You need good conent and increasing traffic to get to the top

Google always update on their lists of 'search' websites

I also experienced it once before..But it just long last for about 1 and half days only

Anyway...linking back / feeding our link to others site is the best way to promote and making our site popular...

Just my 2 cents

The content on your site is the best way to get to the top. Links are important but second to links

Cool

I don't think only good content can do that..no doubt content is a king but still good content + One way links from dofollow blogs, directories, forum sigs and website's age matters.

Backlinks with pages with high PR or traffic is the key to getting to the top 10 results. When your blog first starts off, your ranking might fluctuate from possibly top 4 to top 400. It is due to the lack of backlinks. The more backlinks and traffic, the more you will rank higher in keywords and SERPs.

If you does spamming putting duplicate content a lot then there is chance to get penalized by Google but rather whatever mentioned by Fred still most webmasters do it and yep the results as far i think is quite average on that, you will get approx 3-5 PR value and approx 300-800 Visitors per day this is my assumption on all those technique described by him. Maybe many voices will raise after giving such a figure out here.. But I will like to hear if i am wrong.

Default How and Why to Appear on First Page of Google

Hello fellow SEO workers,

I hope you must not be surprised like me when I share the following facts with you, I learned today from an article.

There are roughly 500 million searches performed everyday and 88% of that traffic comes from the top 4-5 search engines, Google, Yahoo, Ask and MSN. Of these, Google is by far the largest. Approximately 90% of people searching do not go past the third page of results and few go beyond the first page.

Yes these are very obvious facts. Under such circumstances it becomes imperative to appear on the First Page of Google search results.

I read some great tips which must be kept in mind while DESIGNING and MANIPULATING your web design in order to get your site in first row.

Just go through these optimizing tips, Appear in the First Row of google search

I am sure you may find these tips useful,

Regards, Weasley
